Hier und jetzt
Hier und Jetzt, our beautiful art calendar for 2020, was PORTO SANO’s 2019 Christmas initiative. Hier und Jetzt, German for ‘Here and Now’, is a tangible tool informing us of the specifics of the present moment and is therefore a reminder to be aware of what is now and accepting it with gratitude.
Hier und Jetzt’s profit was donated to three charities in both of PORTO SANO’s home bases, Australia and Germany.
In addition to generously helping others, this purchase had an equally beneficial effect on you. Benevolence and volunteer work are proven to have positive impacts on one’s overall health and wellbeing.
The carefully selected artworks were generously provided by Artist and Illustrator Elliot Beaumont who grew up in Erskineville but calls Berlin his home and base now. Please find more of Elliot’s work through his online shop and on Instagram @elliot_beaumont.

Charities
Australia
In Australia, you generously supported the the victims of the devastating bushfires in 19/20. The area of Jervis Bay in NSW has always been a special place of home and it was badly affected by the fires. One third of Hier und Jetzt’s profit has therefore gone to the Shoalhaven City Mayor’s Relief Fund.
The second third of your contribution has been donated to Melbourne’s Refugee Migrant Children Centre, a foundation helping children from refugee and migrant backgrounds thrive in school and life.

In Germany, your purchase supported Fruchtalarm, a charity project travelling around the country’s paediatric oncology wards making fruit mocktails with the young patients.
